This position is responsible for delivering industry-aligned curriculum, modeling professionalism and safety, and supporting students in developing the technical, employability, and leadership skills required for post-secondary education and workforce readiness in public safety fields.

Mt. Lebanon

High School Science Teacher - Anticipated Contract 2026-2027

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of Science Teacher at Mt. Lebanon High School. The primary need is for a Physics certification, but Chemistry and Biology certifications will also be considered.

This is an anticipated contract position beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. This assignment is full-time, on-site.

In order to be eligible to apply, the candidate must hold an active Instructional Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in at least one of the following subjects:

  • Physics 7-12
  • Biology 7-12
  • Chemistry 7-12

Applicants with pending certifications through the PA Department of Education may be considered with college/university placeholder letter stating completion of a PDE approved teacher preparation program and evidence of passing scores on certification examinations.

Please note that entry onto the salary schedule is capped at Step 4 for individuals with prior K-12 teaching experience.

Elementary Assistant Principal

North Allegheny School District, a large suburban district in the Pittsburgh region with over 8,500 students and 1,200 employees, has a vacancy for an Assistant Principal at McKnight Elementary School.  

The Assistant Principal will assist in providing leadership and supervision when administering the educational programs to promote the educational development and achievement of students in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, North Allegheny School District policies, administrative procedures, rules, regulations, and applicable law. The Assistant Principal will provide leadership in program development and improvement, as well as in professional staff development to help prepare students for success in a changing world.   

Minimum Requirements for both positions
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field required.
Advanced Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field preferred.
Five years' teaching experience and experience in Educational Administration preferred.
Current Pennsylvania Administrative certification required.

Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education

North Allegheny School District, a large suburban district in the Pittsburgh region with over 8,500 students and 1,200 employees, has a vacancy for a dynamic Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education. 

This position provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction for Secondary administrative, instructional, and support teams in setting and achieving the highest standards of excellence while supporting the Superintendent's vision to promote a culture that supports growth and achievement for all students.  The Assistant Superintendent has comprehensive oversight of North Allegheny's secondary educational functions, collaborating as needed with the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education, Executive Council, the School Board, administrators, staff, students, parents, and the community in the execution of District initiatives. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, strategic thinker and effective communicator who is committed to excellence. The candidate must have sound knowledge of curriculum and instruction, awareness of educational trends, research and innovative practices, analytical skills and familiarity with strategic planning. 
 
Experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Central Office Administrator, required.
Five years' experience as a Secondary Building Level Administrator, required.
An advanced degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction or related area, required. Doctorate Degree preferred. 
Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility required.
 
Appointment effective date July 1, 2026. Full benefit package available. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
