This position is located at Plum Middle School and is instrumental in ensuring that all learners access a rigorous and supportive education that meets their unique needs and helps them thrive.

As a valued member of our instructional team, you will:

Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with IEPs and PA Academic Standards Develop and maintain compliant IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams

 

We are looking for a reflective, resilient educator who values collaboration, advocacy, and growth. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of inclusive education, student-centered instruction, and special education compliance. A valid PA certification in Special Education PK-12 (or both PK-8 and 7-12 certifications) is required. Additional certifications such as ESL, or Reading Specialist.  A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential is highly preferred.

  • Provide instruction in a variety of settings including inclusive classrooms, resource rooms, and specialized programs
  • Apply evidence-based practices to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • Use data to monitor progress and adjust instruction and supports accordingly
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to implement co-teaching, accommodations, and modifications
  • Manage a student caseload and serve as a liaison between students, families, staff, and service providers
  • Implement Positive Behavior Support Plans and proactive classroom management strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with IDEA, Chapter 14, Section 504, and district expectations
  • Participate in evaluations, re-evaluations, and multidisciplinary team meetings

Permanent12-month position, 244 workdays per year, available July 1, 2025; reports to the Assistant Superintendent. Salary is $135,000 – $145,000, commensurate with experience. Seneca Valley is a vibrant suburban district of 7,400 students in Southern Butler County, Western Pennsylvania. The District covers 100 square miles and includes 9 school buildings with a dynamic secondary campus. Seeking applicants with outstanding communication and facilitation skills, expertise in data-driven decision making, experience with leading change, and strong supervision skills. 

 Responsibilities: Provides administrative leadership to the District’s instructional programs, curriculum, and instructional services; coordinates assessment, standardized achievement testing and data analysis; serves as a key member of the Superintendent’s Executive Team, contributing to strategic planning and district-wide decision-making; research alternative revenue sources for possible educational grants and allocations. Requirements: Pennsylvania Certification Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction OR PA Superintendent Letter of Eligibility (LOE); Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Administration; at least 3-5 years of experience as a Director/Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction or as an Assistant Superintendent; experience in Universal Design for Learning (UDL); trained or willing to be trained in Human-Centered Design.
